Recreation in State forests around Bulahdelah

The State Forests around Bulahdelah are a great place for bushwalking, camping and four-wheel-driving. While most people are aware that the State forests of the area have a long logging history, many are surprised to hear that the first cedargetters arrived in the area in 1816. There are visible reminders of the region's rich logging history scattered throughout the area, with old logging tramways criss-crossing the area, while the unique Wootton Historical Railway Walk follows the route of one such tramway.
