In addition to marketing wood products from the State's native forests and plantations, Forests NSW is responsible for developing new business services related to our primary role as a forest manager. Exciting new commercial business opportunities are emerging in areas such as private forestry and plantation management services, carbon sequestration and trading, wood-based renewable energy products, eco-tourism, biodiversity and land repair.
Because of our skills and experience as a forest manager Forests NSW is ideally placed to capitalise on these opportunities as a provider of knowledge-based services and in partnership with other government and commercial organisations.
