This common blossom bat (Syconycteris australis) has just finished feeding on the blossoms of a smooth barked apple (Angophora costata) tree. Sixteen years of data have been analysed by State Forests' scientists to discover more about nectivorous animals like this bat and their reliance on flowering eucalypts. See story for more details.
